CAMPAIGN & LOOKBOOKS Taken by a Montreal Fashion Photographer

A campaign is not just pretty pictures — it is the most public statement a brand is going to make. A lookbook is the opposite: intimate, a direct conversation with the customer. Both demand the same thing from a photographer: understand what the brand is actually trying to say, and translate that into a sequence of frames that stays coherent from the first shot to the last. That is exactly where I feel at home. Before I shoot, I want to understand the collection for real. What mood is the designer chasing? Who is the person that is going to wear this? What feeling are we trying to leave behind? Those questions define everything — locations, lighting, the rhythm of the set. A lookbook that works is not a catalogue. It is a committed point of view. On set, I move between control and instinct. Sometimes the strongest frames are the ones that were never on the shot list — a genuine moment between two models, outdoor light that shows up unexpectedly, a gesture nobody planned. I try to stay open to both. Technical discipline and spontaneity are not opposites — the best shoots live in that space between the two. On the production side, I have worked the full pipeline: concept development, art direction, retouching, final delivery. I know what agencies and brands need at each stage. Deadlines get met. Selects get delivered clean. The brief gets honored — without giving up the creative ambition that made the project worth doing in the first place. Whether it is a one-season lookbook or a multi-platform campaign, I approach every mandate as a visual argument for the brand — something that needs to perform across formats and hold up over time.
